Up to three years of telephone support
Get direct telephone access to Apple’s own technical support group, the people who
know your system best. AppleCare representatives can help troubleshoot Apple hardware;
the Mac OS, including Mac OS X; and many Apple-branded consumer applications. AppleCare
Protection Plan coverage begins after your 90-day complimentary support period expires
and extends for three years from the computer’s purchase date.(1)
Dedicated web-based support resources
You can help keep your Apple products running smoothly with the resources available
on the AppleCare Protection Plan website. You’ll find comprehensive product information
and technical resources, including the AppleCare Knowledge Base, Discussions, and Software Downloads.
Powerful diagnostic tools
You’ll receive the AppleCare Protection Plan CD, which includes TechTool Deluxe from Micromat.
This powerful tool not only tests your product’s major hardware components, it
can also repair certain system conflicts.
We recommend that you purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan when you purchase
your Apple system to take maximum advantage of the coverage the plan provides.
However, you may purchase it at any time while your computer is still under its
original one-year warranty. Since the AppleCare Protection Plan provides support
for Apple hardware, the Mac OS, and Apple-branded consumer applications, there is
no need to plan for additional “ unexpected” service and support expenses. No other
service and support program can provide peace of mind about your Apple system for
such a small investment.
